As part of the webinar, a promo video for GISEC 2025 was unveiled, highlighting Africa’s growing role on the global cybersecurity stage. This was more than just a webinar — it marked the beginning of deeper collaboration between ISACA Abuja and Techinnovate Group. Africa at GISEC 2025: A Voice That Matters
Shortly after the webinar, Samuel Ubido, Chairman of Techinnovate Group and an active ISACA Abuja member, led a delegation of African government officials, regulators, and cybersecurity leaders to GISEC 2025 in Dubai — one of the world’s most important cybersecurity events.
The Africa Programme at GISEC included high-impact sessions on:
- Cybersecurity frameworks for African governments
- Critical infrastructure protection & smart city security
- AI, data security, and Africa’s digital future
The need for cross-border law enforcement collaboration to combat cybercrime and cyberterrorism

A Personal Milestone for Our Community
We are also proud to celebrate Samuel Ubido’s achievement in completing the ISACA Digital Trust Ecosystem Framework (DTEF) Foundation certification during this period — demonstrating his commitment to fostering trust, resilience, and good governance across Africa’s tech landscape.
