On the 3rd of May 2022 in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States ISACA global community was stunned as the #ISACA Abuja Chapter and the director-General of #NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi clinched the 2022 “Most Outstanding Chapter Award” and the “Inspirational Leadership Award” respectively.
These feats wouldn’t have been possible for a chapter that started as a small team of think tanks in 2005 and had sprung into a strong diverse digital trust professionals without the combined efforts of the past and present excos, and our strategic partners who have consistently supported our activities over the past years.
Also, special thanks to the Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy and NITDA for their unflinching patronage and support. Indeed, ISACA and the entire cyberspace community have noticed and applauded the numerous frameworks, guidance, strategy, ICT infrastructures, Digital literacy, and inclusions your organisations are developing in the rural areas across the country to bridge the existing digital inequalities.
It is believed that the reward for hard work is more work; ISACA Abuja chapter will not rest on its oars. We will continue to synergise with NITDA and other relevant government agencies, private sector players and entrepreneurs to see that digital inequalities across the country are eliminated. also to see that the goal of 100% digital literacy is attained through the positive realisation of the benefit of technology in the entire cyber-ecosystem.
The long awaited Dinner and Award night initially billed for the 9th of July will now be held on the 28th of July 2022 at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton, Abuja. This event will provide an opportunity for our esteemed audience to get to know what makes ISACA certification holders stand out from the crowd; why ISACA is the preferred choice for digital trust professionals; and how private, public and non-governmental institutions have adopted it.
In addition, the award will among others strengthen the penetration of digitization and promote its uptake in Nigeria. This will serve as a genuine barometer for assessing positive contributions to the growth and development of ICT infrastructures and creating peer review and competition among notable individuals and organisations that operate in the cyber-ecosystem.
