ISACA on a courtesy visit to the Nigeria Data Protection Bureau (NDPB) with the ISACA global CFO ably represented by the African Ambassador Mr. Onifade Opeyemi.
The National Commissioner of Nigeria Data Protection Bureau (NDPB) appreciated the visit being the first after the creation of the Bureau, acknowledged the first Award that came from ISACA, and in addition, the first courtesy visit of the year 2023.
The aim of the visit to the bureau was to finalize discussion on the areas ISACA will collaborate with the Bureau on the forthcoming National Data Privacy Week that will start from 28th January – 4th February 2023 with the theme “Privacy Matters: Place of Nigeria in the Global Digital Economy.
The Bureau Chairman assured ISACA of his continuous support of Abuja activities as evident during the last Annual Conference and Anniversary. He reinstated that the agency collaborate with ISACA Abuja chapter around Capacity Development and building a pipeline of indigenous technopreneurs that can compete globally in innovation.
This is in line with the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (2020-2030) with the goal “to transform Nigeria into a leading global digital economy providing quality life and digital economies for all.
