The ongoing National Data Privacy Week School Tour is organized by the National Data Protection Bureau (NDPB) in collaboration with ISACA Abuja. The focus of the event held on February 1st, 2023 was to raise awareness about data privacy among young students, with the theme “Catch them young.”
ISACA Abuja with the Chapter President Emmanuel Omoke, Certification Coordinator Sir Stephen Ifeanyi Alaekwe ACA, CISA, M.SC. and the Membership Coordinator @Mrs. Adeyemi Taiwo lead the visit to secondary schools (GSS Wuse Zone 3 and GSS Nyanya) in Abuja alongside Stanley Dunia, Annas Jonathan and kayode ogunji, to educate students on the importance of data privacy in cyberspace and how to protect their online privacy. The sensitization covered key terms such as Data Subject, Data Controller, Data Processor and most importantly the golden rule for balancing fun and safety in cyberspace among others.
